1x: Tell us a little bit about this piece, anything immediate you would like us to highlight about this image?
Cyrcle: As you may have come to recognize, there isn’t always one definitive message in our work. We find ourselves layering concepts and constantly analyzing our opinions on topics. There are two sides to every coin. The internal conflict in search of truth leads us down many paths. Ok, I’m getting weird, but you know what I’m saying, lol. Look at it, it’s a fucking deity, but through our eyes, minds, and hearts. It’s universal, definitely inspired by the east, but made for the infinite compass. The skull and the flower represent creation and destruction and its constant cycle. Hence the name “Pattern Eternal.” No beginning and no end. The chicken and the egg.

This also breaths through to the origins and ethos of Cyrcle. The name “cyrcle” was inspired by alchemists symbol of the Ouroboros; one of the oldest mythical creatures. A snake eating its own tail, a self-sustaining being that gives not and takes not, said to have the meaning of infinity.cyrcle-pattern-eternal-1xrun-news-02cyrcle-pattern-eternal-1xrun-news-03

1x: Was this piece part of a recent theme, series or show that you had? If so how did it fit into that given grouping?
Cyrcle: It was painted on the side of a 150 foot wall in Kiev, Ukraine. That country is fucking complicated. So much conflict, corruption, and miscommunication among its own people. And Russia, don’t get me started about Russia. The more and more we learned the more confusing it became. It seemed like a good idea to go and learn and do something creative for the city.

1x: How long did this piece take to create from start to finish?
Cyrcle: Six crazy fucking days. Almost died, got chased by cops that I thought were Ukrainian gangsters. Thunderstorms.

1x: Why should people buy this one of these prints?
Cyrcle: Fuck off with this question, lol, why does anyone buy or want anything? If it speaks to you and it moves you and you like it, buy it. Or piss off haha.
