1xRun: Tell us a little bit about this piece…
Dr Eye: The original is available for purchase, as well as sketches, and also small custom drawings. This piece is originally done with ink on paper and the title of this work is Spirituality.

1xRUN: What materials were used to create this piece?
Dr Eye: Ink, brush, and a special type of beveled poster.

1xRun: When was the piece created and how long did take to finish?
Dr Eye:  This was done back in February 24th, 2014 and took roughly 9-10 hrs. These pieces are tricky because they are done nonstop from start to finish. If there are any mistakes it gets thrown away, these are one of a kind abstracts.

1xRun: Anything immediate you would like us to highlight?
Dr Eye: These are going to be one of a kind series put out and will not be available after.

1xRun: Tell us how the idea and execution came about?
Dr Eye: I feel it’s a symbol of spirituality and the third reign. Also, if religion could be considered the higher knowledge as well as a depiction of a guardian angel.

1xRun: Describe the piece in one gut reaction word.
Dr Eye:  ABSTRACT.

1xRun: When did you first start making art?
Dr Eye: Well I have always loved art since I was little, but I would have to say around the year 2000 is when I started to create more elaborate styles.

1xRun: What was your first piece?
Dr Eye: It was an abstract moose DJing  and I gave it to my grandma in 1995.

1xRun: What artists inspired you early on?
Dr Eye: I’d have to say Ralph Steadman had an awesome abstract style that stuck with me on a street level. I’m inspired by Siner Lts as well as Ayer (RIP)  for their characters and style. I’d also say Barry Mcgee (also known as “Twister”.)

1xRun: What artists inspire you now?

Dr Eye: I would have to say Saber has always had a great style with all mediums. I’d also have to say Zes has done a great job on all levels, from street art to gallery work, and also photography. Fishe has always had an influential style from his pieces to now establishing great gallery art on a new geometrical art.

1xRun: Do you listen to music while you work?
Dr Eye: Yes, it is a must. I usually like a hypnotic ambiance, as opposed to a more settle approach such as classical topped off with Chet Baker.

1xRun: If you could collaborate with any living artist who would it be?
Dr Eye: I would like to collaborate with Barry Mcgee and also Os Gemeos in reference to their styles and also characters.

1xRun: If you could collaborate with any deceased artists who would it be?
Dr Eye: Its funny I would love to add a character to Jackson Pollock, especially since collaborations weren’t really done in those days. I always wish Ayer was still here especially since he was always ahead of the game with style, I could only imagine where his style would be today.

1xRun: Any big events coming up that you’d like to share?
Dr Eye: I’m currently working with the Getty Center for the opener of the Los Angeles Black Book, it’s going to be great some of Los Angeles inspirational artist are doing a top to bottom murals for the Getty. It’s so amazing to see how far Graffiti has come, especially here in Los Angeles where it hasn’t been considered art and plagued as vandalism or a form of gang violence.
