1x: Tell us a little bit about this piece, anything immediate you would like us to highlight about this image?
Turf One: Le Chien Qui Fume (The Smoking Dog) is the name of an old Parisian restaurant. I always found the name so inspiring! Since I was a kid, it always brought to mind images of smoking circus dogs, so I finally painted one.

1x: Was this image part of a recent theme, series or show that you had?
Turf One: Dogs have definitely always been one of the reoccurring themes in my art. So are cigarette-smoking somewhat anthropomorphic animals. I always had a fascination for “perverting” the classic cartoon characters codes.
