1xRun Thru Interview
High Passion, No Judgement by Look

1xRUN: Tell us a little bit about this piece, what materials were used?
Look: The piece was originally a drawing I made for a show called: Style Needs No Colour in the summer of 2012. Some guys made a book with only black and white stuff and I contributed a b/w drawing and made another one for the show. The original is still for sale now. Afterwards i scanned and coloured it and prepared it for screenprinting on shirt. I drawed it with feather and ink. Original style.

1xRun: Tell us how the idea and execution came about?
Look:  First I did a graffiti out in some abandoned building round my corner in Berlin. Then I thougt it might be pretty cool to use the face and make a piece of work out of it. I always wanted to paint some fresh female characters cause it is quite rare in my work. So I started to elaborate this.

1xRun: How long did the piece take?
Look:   I guess 3 Days, all in all.

1xRun: What is unique about this piece?
Look:  Collages, Dada, Pop-Surreallism and other stuff mixed in one character.

1xRun: Why should people buy this print?
Look:  Cause it is really really rare that I make screenprints. It comes maybe once in a year.

1xRun: Describe the piece in one gut reaction word.
Look:  Weird.

1xRun: When did you first start making art? What was your first piece?
Look:  1987. Some drawings and the very first stuff I did was clay figures. Then I started graffiti around 1996.

1xRun: What artists inspired you early on? What artists inspire you now?
Look:   I can remember Albrecht Dürer from the very first beginning. And the Asterix and Obelix Comics from Uderzo. As for now, it is still Albrecht Dürer, Keith Haring, Horfeee, Roids, Sat One and the WEIRD.

1xRun: If you could collaborate with any living artist who would it be and why? Any deceased?
Look:  James Jean. Maybe Albrecht Dürer?

1xRun: What was the first piece of art that you bought? Do you still have it? The last?
