1xRun: Tell us a little bit about this piece, anything immediate you would like us to highlight?
Naturel: It started off as an idea for a rug, making a work of art for a floor. As a Jordan fan there were quite a few models on my “bucket list” hence the title DOA. I would love to make this piece into a mural.
1xRun: When was the piece drawn and created?
Naturel: This piece was started about about 5 weeks ago and took roughly a month to finish.
1xRun: Tell us how the idea and execution came about?
Naturel: I’m a huge fan of the Jordan shoe brand.
1xRun: What is unique about this piece?
Naturel: It’s available in sizes that Ive never worked with.
1xRun: Describe this series in one gut reaction word.
Naturel: Appreciation.
1xRun: When did you first start this most recent style of work ?
Naturel: About a year and a half ago.
1xRun: How have you seen this style continue to evolve since you have began it?
Naturel: I also do portratits, still life images and jewelry in this style.
1xRun: Any big plans coming up as 2014 gets underway here?
Naturel: Hopefully a few gallery shows and many more paintings and sculptures.
