Peeta Is Speaking Quantum

1xRUN Thru Interview
Speaking Quantum by Peeta

1xRun: Tell us a little bit about the original, what mediums was it created with?
Peeta: This piece was a little different, it is drawn in July 2012 with airbrush, acrylics and pencil.

1xRun: Tell us how the idea and execution came about?
Peeta:  One morning I was really worried because I had received a sadly bad news and couldn’t manage to paint. Suddenly, I got a call telling me that, unexpectedly, everything was fine and I could relax. So I did and I was so happy I decided to start a new canvas : Speaking Quantum.

1xRun: What is unique about this piece?
Peeta: Differently from the other canvases, I have chosen to draw shades with pencil instead of using airbrush. My approach towards the canvas has been more direct and emotional and less studied and technical even if this can be perceived by the spectator only at a deeper gaze.

1xRun: How long did the piece take?
Peeta: One week.

1xRun: What else do you have in the works?
Peeta: I’m pretty much producing Art on a daily basis, testing out some silkscreen prints and besides painting new canvases I’m sketching new sculptures projects for some public art competitions and for the future shows I’m going to have next year. Currently I’m part of a big show Singapore at Vue Privée Gallery called ‘Unnecessarily Well Made’ where I’m showing some nice and large pieces on canvas and a couple of small sculptures. Currently I’m also showing a big sculpture at the Santorini Biennale of Arts, Greece. I just installed a Big sculpture at Fresko restaurant in Oslo Norway. I have some graffiti jams and meetings to attend in Greece and Germany in the next couple of weeks. Then will be the time to produce some new canvases live during Marbour Events, Marseille France where there will be a big auction the second weekend of September. Then I will paint a huge public mural in Bosnia, and i’m preparing a show in my home town Venice Italy opening at the beginning of October. After that I’ll be part of Antaragni Art Festival in India where I’ll be painting some walls.
