1xRun: Tell us a little bit about this piece…
Abcnt: The original is a few pieces of paper I taped together after drawing it out. I made it shortly after I watched a documentary called ‘The House I Live In” which tells a pretty complicated story with ease about the drug war and I wanted to attempt to do something similar and tell a complex story with a simple graphic.

1xRun: What materials did you use to drawn with?
Abcnt:Pen for the blacks and pencil for the grays on paper.

1xRun: What is unique about this piece?
Abcnt: I think it’s able to highlight a stupidity everyone can relate to in a quick effective way by pointing out how foolish a literal war against a plant might look like.

1xRun: Why should people buy this piece?
Abcnt: We’ve never been closer to legalizing marijuana in the U.S. than we are now and this print represents the zeitgeist of what we’re trying to leave behind.

1xRun: Describe this piece in one gut reaction word.
Abcnt: Fucked.

1xRun: Do you listen to music while you work?
Abcnt: I almost always listen to music while I work, until I need a break because silence helps determining what to play next which could be anything that is good.

1xRun: What artists inspire you now?
Abcnt: Hit+Run Crew, Cryptik, Restitution Press, Reefkillspop, David Flores, Jesse Hazelip, Mr44ism, OG Slick, and Zoltron.
