1xRun: Was this piece part of a recent theme or show that you had?
Dan Quintana: The piece did have a theme that was based around the title: Nova. In this case the planet earth, bright with all of its life shining like a star in the universe destined to fall under the demise of mankind, inevitably leveling up into a supernova only to graduate with a stellar explosion. Boom.

1xRun: Your works always blends a few different techniques, what was the first medium that you really worked well with and how did you start transitioning into working with so many different things?
Dan Quintana:
I started with pencil drawings like the usual and immediately jumped into oil. Visiting museums and looking at master works in books made my decision an easy one.
