1xRun: Tell us a little bit about this piece, is the original still for sale? Was it created solely for this release or was there an original piece created?
Natalia Rak: I made it specially for 1xRun. The final form of the print Midnight is a mix of a pen drawing and Photoshop color filling, so there is no original one for sale, thought the original pen drawing exists in couple pieces.
1xRun: Was this piece part of a recent theme, series or show that you had? If so how did it fit into that given grouping?
Natalia Rak: No it was especially made for 1xRun but my main theme nowadays is the connection of human with nature.
1xRun: When was the piece created?
Natalia Rak: My drawing was created month ago, just before Christmas.
1xRun: Tell us how the idea and execution came about?
Natalia Rak: My last private experiences inspired me to do that print. First of all Winter time is always a little bit hard time for me, especially when I stay in Poland. I miss time spending outside, nights sky full of stars and warm night walks, that’s why the scene is made in the dark warm night. Besides that I just took a dog from the pound. He has got a very intelligent eyes, which hide some mystery, like the wolf in the illustration. He is not attacking the girl – they are connecting, reacting to each other. That is what I felt with my dog. We both where scared but we managed to find a way of communication.
1xRun: How long did the piece take?
Natalia Rak: It took me about week.
1xRun: What is unique about this piece?
Natalia Rak: Usually I don’t work like that. I prefer acrylics on walls and oils on canvas so this is my second work created based on my drawing.
1xRun: Why should people buy this print?
Natalia Rak: If they have the same feeling – feel the magic in connection with nature. That piece could remind them that all best times could happen outside, far away from computers.

Natalia Rak: Magic Moments.
1xRun: Tell us about some of the artists you’re really excited to see paint for POW!WOW! Hawaii.
Natalia Rak: I’m always excited to met another artist at work so for me all of the people that will be there are a inspiration.
1xRun: Do you have any plans for your wall out there or are you just going to improvise it?
Natalia Rak: I have a few ideas but first I have to see the wall in real life.
The team at 1xRUN is excited to announce their partnership for 2015’s POW! WOW! Hawaii, the world’s leading mural festival. A dynamic group of nearly 200 artists and creatives will participate in the Pow Wow Hawaii experience, spending two weeks on the island of Oahu starting on February 4th and wrapping up on February 17th.
With dozens of the world’s finest artists coming from around the globe to paint large scale murals for nearly two weeks Pow Wow Hawaii is a one of a kind event not to be missed. As artists begin arriving on February 4th, 1xRUN will release a new print from participating artists each day at at 3pm EST / Noon PST / 9am HST.

As painting begins on February 10th 1xRUN will host a pop-up print exhibition at Fresh Cafe, POW! WOW! Hawaii’s central hub located in Kaka’ako. Along with the expansive 1xRUN print exhibition of 2015 participating artists, the exhibition will feature surprise in-store exclusive prints, as well as previously released prints from Pangea Seed & 1xRUN’s Sea Walls and past from artists in the POW! WOW! & 1xRUN family.
