Inner State Gallery & 1xRUN To Exhibit At Scope New York City March 6th – 8th
Inner State Gallery is proud to announce a collection of groundbreaking new works from Lawrence “Naturel” Atoigue, presented alongside an expansive group exhibition curated by 1xRUN for the 2015 Scope International Contemporary Art Show in New York City opening March 6th – 8th.
Taking place during New York City’s Armory Week, Inner State Gallery will showcase new work from 18 domestic and international artists including Lawrence “Naturel” Atoigue and Berlin-based artist Above, as well as new hand-painted multiples from Beau Stanton, Ben Frost, Cope2, Cryptik, Defer, Denial, Doze Green, Eddie Colla, Greg Gossel, Madsteez, Meggs, Nychos, OG Slick, Persue, Ron Zakrin, Ryan McCann and Shark Toof.
After his sold out exhibition being one of the most talked about shows of Art Basel Miami 2014, Naturel returns with an entirely new body of work featuring 8 new mixed media paintings. “Luxuries” features objects of desire and status, and with that attitude in mind this new series finds Naturel creating his most complex works to date. Each new work blends his signature clean cut triangular geometry with a 3D layering process that gives depth and contrast to each piece.
With 2015 underway, Naturel has showed no signs of slowing down with a large scale mural at the world’s premiere mural festival POW! WOW! Hawaii, a partnership with Courvoisier and taking home the award for Best T-Shirt Collaboration with designer Jeff Staple at Agenda.
Last but not least, Inner State Gallery’s fine art publisher 1xRUN takes center stage with a curated group show featuring 18 cutting edge artists from around the globe, each presenting a series of new hand painted multiples. The end result is a collection of paintings, mixed media installations and sculptural works that epitomize the attitude 1xRUN has cultivated with over 1000 editions published since 2010.
