1xRun: Tell us a little bit about this piece, is the original still for sale? Was it created solely for this release or was there an original piece created?
Heidi Taillefer: The original has been reserved by a buyer in Montreal, and it was created after a trip to Bali which influenced it’s style.

1xRun: Was this piece part of a recent theme, series or show that you had?
Heidi Taillefer: This piece is part of a series on horses I produced, which were initially slated to be shown in the middle east.

1xRUN: What materials did you use to create this piece?
Heidi Taillefer: Oil on canvas.

Heidi Taillefer: January 2014.

1xRun: Tell us how the idea and execution came about?
Heidi Taillefer: I wanted to create a piece about beauty emanating from the soul, and to create a visually striking piece as well.

Heidi Taillefer: 1 month.

1xRun: What is unique about this piece?
Heidi Taillefer: This piece represents the first piece where I used an Indonesian shadow puppet design in the background as a familiar motif in my work.

Heidi Taillefer: Because it is one of the more beautiful works I have produced and its beauty is also from within.
