1xRun Thru Interview
Word Down, Lust Seduction, & Danger Party by Rime
1xRun: Tell us a little bit about these pieces, are the originals still for sale? Were they created solely for this release or were there original pieces created?
Rime: These pieces were made to be a part of a series mimicking the background tones of a tropical sunset. Each piece was made on primed and colored canvas. I then freestyle a series of black outlined characters with a brush.
1xRUN: What materials did you use to create these pieces?
Rime: Acrylic on Canvas.
1xRun: When was this piece created?
Rime: 2014.
1xRun: Anything immediate you would like us to highlight?
Rime: The realness is real.
1xRun: Tell us how the idea and execution came about?
Rime: This work was made in a way to make it possible to casually draw with a brush. By placing down the base color I was able to improvise theme and interaction freely with the brush.
1xRun: How long did these pieces take?
Rime: A few hours, a couple Netflix movies playing in the backgrounds per piece. Definitely Robo Cop.
1xRun: What is unique about these pieces?
Rime: Miracles and pony tears.
1xRun: Why should people buy these prints?
Rime: Miracles and pony tears are wonderful within reach.
1xRun: Describe these prints in one gut reaction word.
Rime: Joseph.
1xRun: Where can we find you?
Rime: Website – Instagram @jerseyjoeism
