1xRun Thru Interview
Loyalty & Pure Royalty by Cope2

1xRun: Tell us a little bit about the original pieces, when were they created? Is the original still for sale?
Cope2:  The original paintings were done with acrylics and enamel paints, along with krink and paint markers.  These pieces were for my solo exhibition “Rise To The Occasion” at Miami Art Basel in 2011. Pure Royalty was sold at Phillips de Pure auction house. Loyalty is still for sale.

1xRun: Tell us how the idea and execution came about?  How long did the piece take?
Cope2:  Just taking my time and being creative . Both took about 2 or 3 days.

1xRun: What is unique about this piece?
Cope2:  Loyalty has a photo pasted from a classic NYC subway car I did back in 1982. Both are official, authentic, original and have more than 30 years of history in it.

1xRun: Describe these prints in one gut reaction word.
Cope2:  Authentic.
