Run #00012 // Whore Has A Face by Mark Heggie

1xRun: Tell us how the idea and execution came about?
Mark Heggie:  It is titled, “Piensa En Mi (Think Of Me)”, it is a charged talisman.  The idea unveiled itself to me during my last winter’s sabbatical.  Conceptually cherishing  the power of negative thinking,  my fragmented  mind danced amongst the circle of prominent haters I share this sphere with. The violent act of coitus shown in the central panel, illustrates “love,” shrouded by a thin veil of security, signifies the potential danger and disillusion that may arise when your head is turned.   The clues surrounding the aforementioned scene, which the woman is obviously enjoying, allude to the moral code of the Solitary Man.

1xRun: How long did the piece take?
Mark Heggie:   It took a couple nights of solid work, from inception to completion. Every moment was fueled by pure, unadulterated passion.

1xRun: What is unique about this piece? Why should people buy this piece ?
Mark Heggie:  If you be ‘mooth, unique right up and get a copy to enjoy in you own home.  They should buy it because I have habits to support.  Food and clothing factor into my existence.

1xRun: Describe the print in one gut reaction word.
Mark Heggie:  STABBATH.

1xRun: What else have you been up to lately? What else do you have coming up?
Mark Heggie: Tattooing like an O.G. and planning next February’s annual Clean As A Whistle show.

1xRun: Where can people find you?
Mark Heggie:  Facebook
