The Afropunk Festival was recently described by the New York Times as “the most multicultural festival in the US” and the Afropunk movement itself has become synonymous with the open-minded, non-conforming and unconventional, placing the institution at the epicenter of urban culture inspired by alternative music. This year’s incarnation of the Brooklyn Afropunk festival showcases headliners like Lenny Kravitz, Grace Jones, Ms. Lauren Hill, Gary Clark Jr. and Detroit’s own Danny Brown. To coincide with this year’s fest, 1xRUN and Naturel are excited to announce “Obsidian” the official art print for this year’s Afropunk Brooklyn Festival.
