Tatiana Suarez, Lauren Ys & Caratoes In San Francisco

In her latest mural 1xRUN alum Tatiana Suarez teamed up with Caratoes and Lauren YS in San Francisco as the trio of ladies have continued to form a fast bond collaborating together this year. Suarez has been with 1xRUN from the very beginning — her first release Leoparda was just our 30th release — and we are always happy to see new work from the Miami native. The collaborative wall is massive, measuring roughly 55 x 38 feet and is located on Van Ness & Market Street in San Francisco. We caught up with Suarez to get the details behind the new mural…

“Lauren YS, Caratoes and I were chosen to collaborate on a mural for Jansport in San Francisco as part of their Live Outside campaign. It was extremely humbling and amazing to paint alongside these talented ladies. It was an inspiring week filled with lots of bonding, chill lady vibez and learning.

We chose the theme of “Rock, Paper, Scissors” — the game that helps players choose between two things of equal value. Each one of us depicted an element of the game based on our individual strengths, styles, visual interests and a little bit of chance — much like playing the game itself. The theme also captures the playful spirit of collaboration. We also sought inspiration from its ancient Asian origin, where different versions of the game use animals to represent the elements,” Tatiana Suarez told 1xRUN this week.
