13 New Murals Unveiled Inside Miami Dolphins Arena Featuring 1010, Logan Hicks, Case Maclaim + 10 More

Late this past September, the 13 new murals were unveiled inside the refurbished Miami Dolphins stadium featuring new work by the likes of nearly a dozen street artists. Featured artists included 1xRUN alumni 1010, Logan Hicks and Case Maclaim, as well as Dasic Fernandez, The London Police, Pose, Vhils, Jen Stark, AVAF, Logan Hicks, MOMO, Crash and Hownosm.

Last winter during Art Basel week the project began in the depths of what was once known as Dolphins Stadium in what would become the Art Unexpected project. To start only three artists Case Maclaim, The London Police, and Pose kicked off the project with the objective to the jumpstart a project that would later be continued by a larger group of artists. In between the original three artists and the second wave would be a complete refurbishment of the stadium. What was once a dull, concrete, roofless, structure would be transformed into a futuristic beauty with a retractable roof, perfect for hosting future Super Bowls. Goldman Global Arts (the company that brought you the now famous Wynwood Walls in Miami) formed a new curatorial company and were brought in to handle installing artwork in the new stadium. Goldman Properties CEO Jessica Goldman Srebnick and artist Peter Tunney started the company and beautifying the newly renamed Hard Rock Stadium has been their first project. During the first few weeks of September Vhils, Jen Stark, 1010, AVAF, Logan Hicks, MOMO, Crash, Hownosm, and Dasic Fernandez rounded out the dozen artists that have graced the hallways of the stadium so far. Rumor has it that a few more murals may be popping up there over time.

Tireless 1xNEWS contributing writer and photographer Daniel Weintrab aka @halopigg was lucky enough to be there assisting Case Maclaim for the duration of his production at the stadium, and in addition was brought down to help document the second wave as well.
