In addition to the painting of large-scale public murals, educational field excursions and cultural tours for the artists, a public art exhibition, film screenings, and live art demonstrations will all form part of this upcoming Sea Walls festival.

Home to numerous endangered endemic species of flora and fauna both on land and in the ocean, PangeaSeed Foundation is thrilled to bring their ARTivism initiative to Hawke’s Bay pristine coastal town of Napier. “The end result will be an eclectic collection of world-class, diverse and thought-provoking public artworks that can be appreciated by anyone who walks along Napier’s streets, which aims to inspire the community to become better stewards of the sea,” says Cinzah Merkens, PangeaSeed Foundation’s New Zealand coordinator.
