1x: Tell us a little bit about this piece, anything immediate you would like us to highlight?
Seher: This piece speaks of the duality of body and mind, illustrated by a snake with 2 heads which have no tails, 2 heads always work better than one, so the body and mind merge into one especio to coexist better.
1x: Was this piece part of a recent theme, series or show that you had? If so how did it fit into that given grouping?
Seher: Yes, this piece is recent, still not seen the light and consider prudent to do so now.
1x: What materials were used to create this piece?
Seher: It is a digital piece, hand drawn and then was worked digitally into the computer, did the color in Photoshop.
1x: When was the piece originally created and how long did it take to complete from start to finish?
Seher: The piece was drawn by hand five months ago over the course of 6 days as part of a personal work.
1x: Tell us a little bit about your process and how the idea and execution came about?
Seher: I start thinking about the concept, the basic idea of the piece and then wrote a few key words to develop the idea. I then started to make a proper composition for the illustration and then drew step by step for each of the items that appear in the work. Drawing in pencil line and then working it into the computer.
1x: What do you feel is unique about this piece compared to your other work?
Seher: I almost did not do digital work for this piece. I normally do original print works, but I’m excited about working with 1xRun for this digital release.
1x: Describe this piece with one phrase.
Seher: Filled with wild color.
1x: What are your expectation this year for POW!WOW! Hawaii?
Seher: I am excited, I have really wanted to paint in the festival and it is something we value highly! I will put forward my best work and will enjoy the process. There are very interesting artists that are worth watching.
1x: Without giving away too much, what are your plans for your mural out in Honolulu?
Seher: A wall full of color and movement.
1x: Any of the participating artists you are excited to see painting?
Seher: I know the work of most of the artists. It will be good to see them live and appreciate their work as well as receive any of their feedback.
1x: What’s your schedule like after POW!WOW! 2016? Any big shows or events coming up that you’d like to share?
Seher: After Hawaii I want to make a short visit to Japan to learn a little and paint a mural. This year I also have an solo exhibition in Mexico City.
