1x: Tell us a little bit about this piece, anything immediate you would like us to highlight?
Sket One: This is an extension of my graffiti and illustration style with a drop of POP art to it.
1x: Was this piece part of a recent theme, series or show that you had? If so how did it fit into that given grouping?
Sket One: I guess it would stem from my hood Goodz series, but this is more of an abstract take on those guys.
1x: What materials were used to create this piece?
Sket One: Pencil/Pen/Scanner/Illustrator.
1x: When was the piece originally created and how long did it take to complete?
Sket One: I started it in January this year and it took around a week until I was content with the composition.
1x: Tell us a little bit about your process and how the idea and execution came about?
Sket One: I wanted to have the piece be very vibrant and have a lot popping with a sense of fun, I pulled elements to support that.
1x: What do you feel is unique about this piece compared to your other work?
Sket One: The color palette is different from anything I’ve done before.
1x: Describe this piece with one gut reactionary word.
Sket One: BOOM.
1x: What are your expectation this year for POW!WOW! Hawaii?
Sket One: To take part in a fun exciting event, see some incredible artwork and to enjoy the island and good times with friends.
1x: Without giving away too much, what are your plans for your mural out in Honolulu?
Sket One: Bigger n better!
1x: Any of the participating artists you are excited to see painting?
Sket One: Tristan Eaton, Rist, Tati’s I should just cut and paste the roster cause its that good.
1x: What’s your schedule like after POW!WOW! 2016? Any big shows or events coming up that you’d like to share?
Sket One: Just had the release of all the Sketracha Dunnys from kidrobot, heading to Hawaii and then Isereal, more custom releases and more travel!
