Over the weekend on April 18th, Kirk Pedersen, owner/designer and publisher of Zero Plus Publishing, curated Aggregate an expansive exhibition at Merry Karnowsky Gallery in Los Angeles featuring the work of 18 artists they have published fine art books with over the last six years. We first got our hands on one of their books when we have an exhibition with Shark Toof last May, and the quality, craftsmanship and storytelling they put into each limited edition book is consistent throughout their entire catalog. We’ve work with many of the same artists over the years and recently we’ve launched several of Zero+’s titles in our book shop to an overwhelming applause from our collectors.
Aggregate is on view for the next few weeks and features the work of Above, Andrew Hem, Augustine Kofie, Blaine Fontana, Cryptik, Dabs Myla, Dennis Morris, Edwin Ushiro, Joseph Stein, Lisa Adams, Mark Dean Veca, Mark Whalen, Mercedes Helnwein, Nathan Ota, Sage Vaughn, Shark Toof and Yumiko Kayukawa. Along with original work from each of these storied artists, the gallery also featured each of the books that have been published over the years along side some of the most ambitions box sets the industry has offered.
Check out all the photos from the exhibition and if you’re in LA pop on over to Merry Karnowsky Gallery before the show ends on May 9th.
